who we are
The UpHer Room Inc. is a Center of Excellence for Women of Influence and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit leadership platform focused on strengthening women’s capacity to lead across business, community, and culture.
We exist to ensure women are not only inspired, but equipped—through structure, collaboration, and access—to lead with clarity and create measurable impact in business, community, and culture.
The UpHer Room is not a traditional women’s organization built on motivation alone. We specialize in capacity-building, connection, and collaboration, serving as a hub and bridge that links women, organizations, and opportunities in intentional and strategic ways.

Dr. Benedicta Ajah
Founder & CEO
Dr. Benedicta Ajah—widely known as Dr. B—is a builder for builders, recognized for helping women move from vision to execution with clarity, structure, and confidence. She brings a rare blend of discernment and strategic insight, supporting women as they translate ideas, calling, and conviction into sustainable action. Her work is grounded in an architectural approach to leadership and development—helping women clarify direction, build structure, and execute with purpose rather than hesitation or fragmentation. Dr. B is particularly known for guiding high-capacity women through moments where vision is clear, but execution requires alignment, courage, and practical strategy.
As the Founder and Executive Director of The UpHer Room Inc., Dr. B leads a Center of Excellence dedicated to developing women of influence through leadership development, collaboration, and access to opportunity. Under her leadership, The UpHer Room has evolved into a global platform designed to strengthen women’s capacity, social capital, and cross-sector impact.
Dr. B’s leadership reflects a commitment to excellence, service, and responsible growth—equipping women to lead boldly while remaining grounded, prepared, and aligned with long-term impact.
